Alpe Adria is a cycling route that leads from Salzburg to Grado crossing the Alps between Villach and Tarvisio.
The first part up near Venzone is very beautiful, mostly along an old railway. The last stretch up to Venzone is done on the state road. From Venzone to Grado it is not well marked, fun in some sections, in others it seems inevitable to drive along state roads with a lot of traffic, in others you have to look at the route every few km because otherwise you get lost. Obviously the track shown in the gpx is what I did, you can probably do better by already knowing the places. Villach and Cervignano can be easily reached by train.
