The Walk of the Silent Villages leads to the discovery of an isolated and fascinating Umbria.
The work of the organizers (who provide credentials, books, official GPX tracks) is exemplary, the organization excellent; the path is very well marked with stickers and yellow paint marks. The route does not present any difficulties, it should probably be emphasized that in case of rain the stretch that comes and goes from the Eremo della Pasquarella must be covered with a little attention.
It would be interesting to understand how the CAI paths are maintained in the area – there is a very dense network, the itinerary is almost always an alternative to the CAI paths and in my view the choice is correct – it would not be worth making the trip without reaching the villages in an easy way with stages of length and height difference suitable for this type of routes.
